"Dr. Rebecca Ryder is a board certified gynecologist, a member of the Institute for Functional Medicine, a member of the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture, and an expert in nutrition.
Dr. Ryder's medical degree and residency were completed at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, where she also received her undergraduate degree in Nutrition.
She is a former faculty member at Duke University and Eastern Virginia Medical School, and has completed extensive training in medical acupuncture for physicians as well as herbal medicine.
Dr. Ryder was selected by her peers several times as “TOP DOC” in her field. The recognition is courtesy of a yearly Hampton Roads Magazine survey.
Dr. Ryder blends the roles of traditional and holistic medicine. She is one of the few physicians in Hampton Roads who has completed the Institute for Functional Medicine's training program.
