"Having grown up in rural Pennsylvania with a mother who is a family doctor, I fondly remember the “good ‘ol days” of medicine. I first heard about direct primary care in 1999 and was attracted to the concept of price transparency and the ability to spend more time with his patients. I completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Bucknell University, an MD degree from Jefferson Medical College, and a family medicine residency program at Lancaster General Hospital. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Jessica, and have a son and two daughters. I volunteer as an assistant scoutmaster for Troop 83 and attend Worship Center in Leola. Alere is Latin for “to heal”. I founded Alere Family Health in 2017 for patients seeking an alternative option in our currently broken healthcare system."
