Dr. Georgeanne Freeman, D.O.

About Dr. Freeman

Dr. Freeman is board certified in family medicine. She earned a Doctorate in Osteopathy at the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa, which is now Des Moines University. She completed a Master of Public Health degree at East Tennessee State University.

She completed a rotating internship in Kingsport, Tennessee, and finished residency training at the University of Washington in Seattle. She has worked in emergency rooms, hospitals and clinics. She spent a number of years practicing medicine in rural America, in the Appalachian Mountains and the Ozark Mountains.

As a country doctor in rural practice, she made house calls. She runs Downtown Doctor, a family medicine wellness clinic in Austin. She is trained in bio-identical hormones and in Botox and Juvederm cosmetic procedures.

As a DO, she believes in using internal and external methods of healing to tap into the body's innate healing properties. She takes time to address each of a patient's questions. She is an avid swimmer and skier who bikes to and from the clinic.
