FindMyDirectDoctor › Direct primary care cost
Updated November 2026 · How we check prices
Short answer: a typical direct primary care practice starts at about $99 a month for one adult. Half of them start between $75 and $125 a month. These numbers come from the prices that 1,091 practices post on their own websites.
The "starting price" is the lowest monthly price a practice posts for one adult. "Middle half" means half of the practices start somewhere in this range, a quarter start lower and a quarter start higher. Prices for children, families and seniors are often different.
With direct primary care, you pay your doctor's practice a monthly fee, called a membership, instead of paying through insurance for each visit. The membership usually covers your regular primary care visits and lets you reach your doctor more easily, often by phone, text or video.
These are the items practices list most often as part of the adult membership:
Lab tests, imaging and medicines are often charged separately, sometimes at discounted cash prices. Check each practice's page for what it includes.
