FindMyDirectDoctor is free for patients to use. This page explains how we make money and how we keep paid content separate from everything else.

How we make money

• Sponsored listings, where a doctor or practice pays to be shown in a set place.
• Advertisements from companies that offer health-related products or services.
• FindMyDirectDoctor's own online care services, such as our weight-loss program, which is provided through licensed clinical partners.
• Fees that some doctors choose to pay to receive patient inquiries.

How paid content is labeled

• Paid placements in our doctor listings are labeled "Sponsored" so you can tell them apart from regular results.
• Links in company ads are marked as paid links for search engines, as Google and Bing ask.
• Medical care in our weight-loss program is provided by OpenLoop Healthcare Partners, PC and its affiliated professional corporations, as our website footer explains.

What money can never change

• The checked facts on a doctor's page.
• Patient reviews, which follow our review policy.
• Our health articles, which follow our editorial policy.
• Whether a doctor is listed. Claiming a profile is free and never requires a link back to us or a payment.
