About Justin Shaw

Shaw founded TrueMynd Psychiatry, which provides psychiatric and addiction care by telehealth. He holds national board certification as a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. He graduated from New York University.

He previously served as Associate Medical Director and Director of Nursing at Phoenix House NY/LI. He is an adjunct clinical professor at NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing, where he mentors graduate-level PMHNP students. He specializes in treating anxiety, depression and ADHD, along with bipolar disorder and trauma-related disorders.

He also treats substance use disorders and works in LGBTQIA+ mental health.
