About Dr. Liu

Dr. Liu earned his medical degree at Norman Bethune University of Medical Sciences and a doctorate at Wayne State University in Michigan. He spent five years at Wayne State studying the regulation of pre-implantation embryonic development and trophoblast differentiation. Dr. Liu completed postdoctoral research at Vanderbilt University on the uterine response during embryo implantation.

He completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center. After residency in New York City, he served four years as an assistant professor and attending physician in Boston and then returned to Manhattan to practice at New Hope Fertility Center. He founded Future Reproductive Medicine in California.

He developed the Mild-Stim protocol and advocates for mild stimulation in assisted reproductive technology, believing the most effective treatments are also the most personalized. He is an avid long-distance runner who has completed marathons in cities including Boston, New York City, Chicago, Tokyo and Berlin.
