About Dr. Illions
Dr. Illions did a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology at the National Institutes of Health and Walter Reed Army Medical Center while in the US Air Force. He retired from the US Air Force in 1993 as a Lieutenant Colonel. He then joined the faculty of the University of Florida on the Jacksonville campus as a director.
He was previously Medical Director of the Advanced Reproductive Medicine section at the University of Colorado. He was also practice director at Montefiore's Institute for Reproductive Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. There he developed and led the Fertility Preservation Program at Montefiore.
He joined the Fertility Center of Miami in 2021. He has a keen interest in fertility preservation, reproductive surgery and recurrent pregnancy loss. He believes physicians must be good listeners to give individualized care.
