About Dr. Teague

Dr. Teague is the physician and CEO of Backcountry Doctor DPC. He is a family practice trained physician. After he left the ER in 2022, he started his own clinic.

Dr. Teague earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Central Arkansas. He graduated from medical school in 2005 and was class president. He did his residency with the Wyoming Family Practice Residency in Casper.

In his third year, he was Chief Resident. Dr. Teague joined the U.S. Army and served as a medic in the 20th Special Forces group. He worked as a missionary in Honduras, where he ran a hospital. That work convinced him to go to medical school.

After college he worked for the BLM in wildland fire suppression with the Kern Valley Hot Shots. In 2008 he became Medical Director for the Natrona County Sheriff's Office SRT. He enjoys camping, hunting, fishing, backpacking, winter sports and hiking.

Membership and fees

Backcountry Doctor DPC has an individual plan at $150 a month, which includes personalized nutritional advice and wellness planning and stabilization of disease processes.

Family plans start at $175 a month and include unlimited visits each month.

The clinic does not take insurance, Medicare or Medicaid, and members get discounts on IV infusion packages.
