About Jennifer Lombardi

Lombardi provides primary care for patients of all ages at Deschutes Rim Clinic in Maupin, Oregon. Before she became a nurse practitioner in Laramie, Wyoming, she spent seventeen years in acute and chronic care nursing, including a stint as a patient care coordinator. She worked three years in urgent care and three years in home health care, the latter primarily for Medicare patients, often as their primary care provider.

She says the clinic can monitor cholesterol, screen for diabetes and osteoporosis, manage chronic conditions and treat illnesses such as colds and stomach problems. New patients get an hourlong first visit to go over records, medications and health history. The clinic helps patients with specialist referrals and can draw blood and send labs out for testing.
