About Dr. Bliss

Dr. Garrison Bliss is an internal medicine physician who practices direct primary care at BlissMD in Seattle, Washington. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Harvard College in 1972 and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Utah in 1977, with Honors in Internal Medicine, and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society in 1977. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency at the University of Washington from 1977 to 1980 and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1980. He began practicing internal medicine in 1980.

He held active medical staff privileges at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle starting in 1980, and began serving as President and Chairman of the Board of the Direct Primary Care Coalition in 2010. He previously served as President and Chairman of the Board of the Society for Innovative Medical Practice Design between 2004 and 2008, and has chaired several King County Medical Society and Washington State Medical Association committees. He is a member of the Washington State Medical Society, King County Medical Society, American Medical Association, and American Society of Concierge Physicians, and a lifetime member of the American Association of Private Physicians.
