Dr. Lauren Engelmann, MD

About Dr. Engelmann

Dr. Engelmann is board certified in Family Medicine, with an additional board certification in Palliative Medicine. She is certified by the North American Menopause Society as a Menopause Provider. She joined the team at Sound Medicine and Wellness.

She sees adult patients age 18 and older and provides comprehensive primary care across adulthood. She earned an undergraduate degree from Rollins College and completed medical school at Florida State University. She trained in Family Medicine at The University of Texas at Austin and completed a fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at the University of Washington.

She has extensive experience caring for patients in both hospital and outpatient clinic settings. She has a special interest in mid-life patients, such as people who juggle work, parenting and the care of aging family members while managing their own health changes. Her approach to primary care is thoughtful and focused on prevention.

She believes good care starts with truly knowing her patients. Outside the clinic, she enjoys strength training, hiking, reading fiction, learning tennis and visiting vintage and consignment shops.
