About Dr. Koss

Dr. Koss earned a BS in Physical Education from Springfield College in 1976. He graduated from A.T. Still University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1982 and completed a fellowship in anatomy and physiology. He was a flight surgeon in the U.S. Air Force and also served as Family Practice Chief.

Dr. Koss returned to Kirksville to specialize in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, which remains his central focus. He has focused on his Maple Valley practice since 1999, concentrating exclusively on osteopathic manipulative treatments. He provides osteopathic and functional medicine care.

Osteopathy is a hands-on branch of medicine that does not rely on drugs. Dr. Koss works with each patient to find the underlying factors behind their health concerns. Together they build an individual plan aimed at long-term wellness, not short-term symptom relief.

The practice welcomes patients of all ages.

Osteopathy is the science and philosophy of life. It’s about healing, about life’s blueprint, and understanding that our role as physicians goes beyond treatment—it’s about nurturing the inherent perfection within each person.
