Dr. Michelle Dawn Seelig, MD

About Dr. Seelig

Dr. Seelig studied at Wesleyan University and was accepted to medical school through Mount Sinai's Humanities and Medicine program. She graduated from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and completed residency training in family medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She completed an NIH-funded research fellowship on fragmentation in the American healthcare system and collaboration between specialists and primary care physicians.

Before medical school she volunteered at the Washington State Health Services Commission, where she learned about implementing health care policy. Most recently she practiced at two direct primary care practices in Seattle, Bliss MD and Seattle Premier Health, before launching MDSeelig in 2022. Her goal is to focus on a small panel of patients directly, without interference from nonmedical administrators, using evidence-based guidelines tailored to each person.

She strives to provide the same care she would want her own family to receive. At scheduled visits the practice devotes as much time as needed and does not book multiple patients per hour. Outside work she enjoys Pilates, circuit training, stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking and reading.
