About Dr. Matilsky

Dr. Matilsky earned an MD at the Technion Israel Institute of Technology. Dr. Matilsky served for three years as a combat medic with the Israel Defense Forces, treating young soldiers in the field. Dr. Matilsky finished a psychiatry residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School and a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the University of South Florida.

Dr. Matilsky is board certified in two areas, general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry. Dr. Matilsky returned to live in Virginia in 2017. Dr. Matilsky served on staff at hospitals in Virginia Beach, Norfolk and Suffolk, in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Dr. Matilsky provides psychiatric care for children, teens and adults. Care includes evaluation, diagnosis and medication management. The Mental Health Wellness Center works in a concierge style and does not take insurance. The practice chose this model because insurance limits cut the time providers can spend face to face with patients.

Patients can get a superbill receipt to send to their own insurance for reimbursement. Telepsychiatry is also offered.
