About Dr. Oyer

Dr. Oyer earned his medical degree at Indiana University School of Medicine in 2009. He completed an otolaryngology residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2014 and a facial plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at Johns Hopkins University in 2015. He joined UVA in 2020 after five years at the Medical University of South Carolina.

His practice is focused on cosmetic and reconstructive treatments of the head and neck in all age groups. He learns each patient's circumstances and goals to build an individualized treatment plan. He is active in research on patient outcomes in facial paralysis, rhinoplasty and facial reconstruction.

Outside work, he enjoys playing sports, especially basketball, and plays piano and guitar.
