About Dr. DiMattina

Dr. DiMattina is a reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist. He founded Dominion Fertility in 1987 and is a founder of Pinnacle Virginia. He sees patients in the Arlington and Bethesda offices, and his special interests are PGT and repetitive embryo implantation failure.

He has performed IVF since 1984 and did the first successful natural cycle IVF procedure in the Washington, D.C. area in 2007. He graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Chemistry from American University in Washington, DC. He performed cancer research at the National Institutes of Health before attending medical school at the Medical College of Virginia.

He completed his internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Georgetown University. He completed a fellowship in reproductive medicine at Georgetown University and the NIH, and he studied advanced IVF techniques at Kings College Hospital in London. He is a Clinical Associate Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Georgetown University Medical Center and has taught Georgetown OB/GYN students and residents since 1986.
