Dr. Priya Mathur, MD

About Dr. Mathur

Dr. Mathur is board certified in internal medicine. She earned a bachelor's degree in physiology and neurobiology from the University of Maryland in 2001. She earned her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in 2005.

She completed an internal medicine residency at the Georgetown University / Washington Hospital Center program in 2008. She worked for The Permanente Medical Group (Kaiser) from 2008, first in its West Los Angeles, CA office and then in its Manassas, VA office from 2010. She served as Team Leader for a group of nine internists at Kaiser Permanente in Manassas, VA from 2016 to 2018.

She joined NOVAMED Associates in January 2023. She served as Co-Chair of the Northern Virginia Wellness Committee. Her interests are lifestyle medicine, preventative care and building strong relationships with her patients.

Her mission is to help patients reach wellness and longevity through healthy lifestyle practices and preventative care. She aims to build a plan with each patient that both feel comfortable carrying out. Speaking about concierge medicine, she told ALXnow, "Now I can fully listen to patients who often don’t feel heard by busy doctors."

She stays active with yoga, running and learning tennis.
