After medical school she served as an active-duty Army Medical Officer and was a staff dermatologist at Martin Army Hospital in Fort Benning, Georgia.

During her service she was Chief of the Department of Dermatology and Chief of the Department of Medicine. She also taught as adjunct faculty at the Academy of Health Sciences, precepting physician assistant students, medical students and Family Medicine residents. Suncoast Skin Solutions has provided care since 2008.
