About Dr. Ramos

Dr. Ramos founded Austin Medical Partners because he believes the relationship between doctor and patient should come first. The practice offers direct primary care with unrushed office visits and greater access to the physician. Patients who want Dr. Ramos as their primary care doctor join one of the membership plans.

The weight management, sports performance and body composition programs do not require membership. The practice offers weight loss and weight management, sports performance testing with VO2 Max, and DEXA scan body composition analysis. The practice also offers inpatient management or co-management and consultations for its patients while they are hospitalized at Seton Medical Center Austin.

Direct primary care is not insurance, and the practice strongly recommends that patients keep insurance.

Membership and fees

Monthly membership at Austin Medical Partners is $350 for ages 18 to 29, with a 12-month minimum commitment and payment due at enrollment, then paid annually.

It is $350 a month for ages 30 to 39 and $350 a month for ages 40 to 49.

It is $500 a month for ages 50 to 59 and $750 a month for ages 60 to 65, with the same 12-month minimum commitment.

Membership includes all primary care office visits, same day or next day appointments, after-hours access for urgent matters when the clinic is closed, virtual appointments, an annual physical exam and chronic disease management.

In-office minor surgical procedures, imaging studies at outside facilities and vaccinations cost extra.

For bills the membership fee does not cover, the practice gives patients a document with the codes to file with their insurance company, and it does not otherwise help with insurance billing.
