About Dr. Galvan

Dr. Medina Galvan earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from New Mexico State University. She earned her medical degree, Cum Laude, from Universidad Iberoamericana in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, in 2008. She completed a family medicine residency at Houston Methodist Hospital from 2010 to 2013.

In 2019 she launched Luminous Health and Wellness, a direct primary care practice in Houston. She believes everyone should have access to affordable, high-quality health care, and she left traditional practice to start direct primary care. She practices in English and Spanish.

She holds the Menopause Society Certified Practitioner credential. She is also designated by USCIS as a Civil Surgeon for immigration medical exams.
