About Dr. Meyrat
Dr. Meyrat is the founder of Gem MD, also called Rockwall's Gem MD. She is board certified in family medicine. She earned her undergraduate degree at St. Edward's University in Austin and attended medical school at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.
She completed her residency at St. Anthony's Family Medicine Residency in Denver, Colorado. She has practiced family medicine in the Rockwall, Rowlett, Garland and Mesquite area since 2004. Before opening her own practice, she worked for the Baylor Family Health Center of Mesquite.
She wanted to offer primary care built around each patient's needs, free of the bureaucratic hassles of the healthcare system. Gem MD is a direct primary care membership practice. Membership includes unlimited office visits during office hours and unlimited access by phone, email and text.
It also covers in-office tests such as strep, flu, urinalysis, pregnancy, glucose and EKG, and paperwork completed on the patient's behalf, at no charge.
Membership and fees
Gem MD membership for children and teens ages 0 to 20 is $55 a month, or $40 with an enrolled parent or guardian.
Membership for adults ages 21 to 44 is $75 a month and covers unlimited primary care, women's health and chronic disease management.
Membership for adults ages 45 and older is $105 a month and covers full primary care plus age-appropriate screenings and chronic care management.
Business membership is $25 a month for dependents under 20, $60 a month for adults 21 to 44 and $85 a month for adults 45 and older.
A one-time $95 registration fee applies per family and is waived for business members.
