Dr. Joel Massey, MD

About Dr. Massey

Dr. Massey is a Texas native. He started out as a family physician serving in the U.S. Air Force. He did active duty combat medicine in Afghanistan. His missionary medicine work took him to five continents. For years he worked in primary care inside a large hospital-affiliated health system. He has cared for patients through the Veterans Health Association. In Spring 2019 he finished the MPH Professional Option program at UNT Health Science Center. His preventive medicine residency was with the Texas Department of State Health Services in Austin. He completed an Epidemic Intelligence Service fellowship at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Massey provides comprehensive outpatient primary and preventive care. He cares for patients of every age, from kids and teens to adults and seniors. His care is personalized and accessible through a membership-based DPC model. His community work includes Walk with a Doc.
