About Melissa Lang
Lang completed her initial nursing education at Grayson College in Denton, Texas, before beginning her healthcare career as a labor and delivery nurse at Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, Texas. She went on to complete Women's Healthcare Nurse Practitioner training at UT Southwestern in Dallas on a full scholarship, graduating in 1997.
After earning her NP degree, she joined a mentoring OB/GYN's group practice and worked under his supervision for sixteen years, building a practice of more than 4,000 patients for gynecological care, until his retirement in 2013. I worked independently for a large, private practice which included 8 MDs. The focus of my practice was on adolescent/adult gynecology, birth control, bioidentical hormone replacement, weight loss, and primary care.
