About Dr. Ampil
Dr. Ampil earned an undergraduate degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas in 1991 and, in 1995, his medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical School. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency at Parkland Hospital in Dallas and became board certified in internal medicine in 1998.
He started his career in acute hospital care at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas and also taught in its internal medicine department. He then spent a year in preventive medicine at the Cooper Clinic in Dallas, followed by the Wade-Huebner Clinic starting in 2009 and the Baylor MedProvider group after a 2012 merger. In the fall of 2015, he joined E. Barrow Medical Group, his current concierge internal medicine practice.
Away from the practice, Dr. Ampil values time with family and friends, stays active at his church, and plays pickleball.
