Dr. Jennifer Kessmann, MD

About Dr. Kessmann

At Texas A&M University, she studied scientific nutrition and graduated magna cum laude. She is board certified in Family Medicine and is an IFM Certified Practitioner through the Institute of Functional Medicine. She has certified in Integrative Medicine twice and is a 500 YTT yoga teacher.

She practices functional medicine, which looks for the root cause of disease in order to improve health. She uses lab tests and genetic evaluation to help find the causes of illness. She also offers chronic fatigue evaluations that use testing to look at what may be contributing to low energy.

She values a personalized approach, because each person is unique and needs a different approach. Her care includes major lifestyle changes and a personalized supplement program. She works with the patient's current health care team as a functional medicine consultant. She does not replace a primary care physician.

New patients must have a primary care physician to cover emergencies and routine care and screening. She does not accept insurance. She has offices in Dallas and Southlake, Texas.
