About Dr. Melville

Dr. Melville graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 1999 as a Distinguished Graduate. He earned his Doctor of Medicine at Louisiana State University College of Medicine in 2004 and served as chief resident in the Louisiana State University Health Science Center Family and Community Medicine Residency in 2007. He is a board-certified diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine, certified in 2007 and 2017.

He has worked as an emergency medicine physician at Texas Health Resources Hospital in Southlake since 2014 and has a long-standing affiliation with the Emergency Department at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southlake, where his office is located. Earlier in his career he was medical director of Destination Health, physician lead of an American Family Care urgent care center, and medical director of inpatient and outpatient service lines in the University of Kentucky Department of Family and Community Medicine. He is a former FAA Aviation Medical Examiner and a former Civil Surgeon for US Citizenship and Immigration Services.

He is on the national speaker bureau for the Bale Doneen Cardiovascular Heart Attack and Stroke Prevention Method and has been published in 7 peer-reviewed textbooks and publications. He is a certified provider of BioTE hormone replacement therapy and of the ReCODE dementia risk reduction protocol. He has completed a Half Ironman, two full marathons, several half marathons and sprint-series triathlons.
