Dr. Ashley Smith, MD

About Dr. Smith

Dr. She studied as an undergraduate at the University of Florida, then went on to earn her medical degree at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine in Mobile, Alabama. She is a board-certified internal medicine physician. She was born in Huntsville, Alabama, and spent her childhood near the beaches of St. Petersburg, Florida.

After medical school, she became a Navy Lieutenant and completed Internal Medicine training at Naval Medical Center San Diego. During her military service, she took part in a humanitarian mission aboard the USNS Mercy. She later served as a staff physician and Clinical Director for Aeromedical Evacuations at Naval Hospital Guam, and completed her final Navy tour at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, where she supervised Family Medicine residents and chaired the Infection Control Committee. Outside of work, she enjoys travel, trying new restaurants, and college football.
