Facts on this page last checked October 2026. How we check doctors
Dr. Carnsew finished medical training at Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1997 and completed a family medicine residency at Greenville Hospital System in 2000. From 2000 until December 2016, she worked as a family doctor at Liberty Family Care. She earned an additional Lifestyle Medicine Certification in 2016.
She founded Verity Primary Medicine & Lifestyle, where she is owner and medical director. The practice opened in January 2017, because she wanted time to teach patients and help them prevent and treat chronic disease. She moved to direct primary care after feeling frustrated with limited one-on-one time with patients.
At Verity, patients contact their doctor directly. She also wrote a children's book on lifestyle medicine called How to Live Like a Superhero.
At Verity Primary Medicine & Lifestyle, adult membership for ages 21 to 64 is $75 a month or $860 a year, and senior membership for ages 65 and older is $85 a month or $970 a year.
Couples membership starts at $140 a month depending on age, family membership starts at $155 a month, and adult plus child membership for one adult and one child is $90 a month, with each additional child $15 on the family and adult plus child plans.
A $75 registration fee is required at signup for individual or family memberships.
Verity Primary Medicine & Lifestyle describes its model as direct primary care and has no formal arrangements with any insurance company. The Verity membership includes all office visits, chronic disease management and in-house lab testing, at no or reduced cost to members.
