About Dr. Cantrell

Dr. Cantrell is board certified in psychiatry. He received his professional education at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine and completed his psychiatry residency there. After residency he moved to Charleston and worked as a psychiatrist for the Medical University of South Carolina Department of Psychiatry Outreach Program.

He then moved to private practice and now owns Centerway. Having his own practice lets him use his training and still spend the time patients need. He treats panic disorder and OCD, among other conditions, and is qualified to treat a broad range of adolescent and adult mental health issues.
