About Dr. Rayner

Dr. Richard Rayner, MD practices Concierge Family Medicine at Aspire Better in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in 1987 and completed his family medicine residency at Christiana Care Health Services from 1987 to 1990. He co-founded AspireCARE, AspireFIT, and AspirePRIME alongside Dr. David White.

Dr. Rayner cares for patients across the full lifespan, from newborns to geriatric patients, focusing on disease prevention, chronic-condition management, and acute illness care. His approach to medicine looks at health as the sum of a patient's family and environment. He taught family medicine residents full-time, and medical students from Jefferson Medical College and Penn State Hershey Medical College part-time, over 18 years. He has taken part in overseas medical mission trips to Kenya, Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Mexico. Outside of medicine, he enjoys running, has sung all his life, plays piano, trumpet, and tuba, has an interest in literature, and makes his own wine.
