He graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2008 and completed a family medicine residency at Central Washington Family Medicine in Yakima, Washington, in 2011. A 2011 news report said St. Charles Health System had hired him while he was working in Yakima. His approach to care was shaped by childhood memories of house calls and the trust between physicians and patients.
