Dr. Blakeburn graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 1987. He completed a Family Practice residency in 1990 at Carswell Air Force Base in Fort Worth, Texas, where he was Chief Resident. He then served as an Air Force physician at Vance Air Force Base from 1990 to 1993 and earned the Meritorious Service Medal and the rank of Major.
In 1993 he opened a private practice in Enid, and in 2001 he became the first full-time ER physician at Integris Clinton Regional Hospital. He established The Blakeburn Clinic in 2007. His approach centers on caring for the whole person and building relationships with patients.
