About Dr. Wood

Mark Wood, MD, practices otolaryngology at Oklahoma Otolaryngology in Edmond, Oklahoma. Dr. Wood is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. He completed a surgical internship/residency at Wesley Medical Center and the University of Kansas in Wichita, Kansas, an otolaryngology residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 1994, and an Otology/Neurotology fellowship at the Hough Ear Institute in 1995.

He was associated with the Hough Ear Institute and its medical group for 24 years before joining Oklahoma Otolaryngology Associates in July 2018, where he sees patients at its Edmond and NW Oklahoma City locations. Dr. Wood previously led the ENT department at Baptist Medical Center as its chairman and has held leadership roles with the Oklahoma Academy of Otolaryngology, including Secretary/Treasurer and President, and represented Oklahoma on the American Academy of Otolaryngology's governing board. As a co-investigator on cochlear implant studies, he has continued to collaborate with Hearts for Hearing on hearing amplification and cochlear implant care.

Dr. Wood is an active runner who has completed more than 30 marathons, including the Boston Marathon in 2018, and is a member of Frontline Church in Edmond, where he takes part in overseas mission work.
