About Leslie Koretz
Koretz completed an undergraduate degree at The Pennsylvania State University in 2007, majoring in Biobehavioral Health. She was a patient care technician in a cardiac step-down unit at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Shadyside Hospital. She graduated from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2012 and finished family medicine residency training with Mercy Health in Muskegon, Michigan, in 2015.
Her board certification comes from the AOBFP. After residency she moved to Asheville and worked in Waynesville and then Lake Lure before opening her own practice. She founded Koretz Family Health in late 2020 and began seeing patients in early 2021.
Searching for a new approach to primary care that left plenty of time with patients led her to start the practice. The practice provides primary care for people of all ages. Her favorite part of the work is building close relationships with patients and helping them understand and manage their health.
Outside work she enjoys mountain biking, hiking, running, camping and swimming outdoors.
Membership and fees
Patients pay a yearly membership fee directly to the practice, and the yearly physical exam is included in it.
Employer-sponsored membership is $65 a month for age 23 and older, and $45 a month for ages 0 through 22 and certain students.
