Dr. Coward is a urologic microsurgeon who specializes in evaluating and treating male infertility. He earned his MD at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed his urology residency there. He finished fellowship training in male reproductive medicine and surgery at Baylor College of Medicine under Dr. Larry Lipshultz.

At Atlantic Fertility, he is Vice President and Chief of Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery and directs the in-house andrology lab. From 2013 to 2022 he served as Director of Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at UNC. He performs vasectomy using the no-scalpel no-needle technique.

Dr. Coward previously served as President of the Society for Male Reproduction and Urology and remains on its board as Past President. Outside work, he enjoys running, cheering on the Tar Heels and attending concerts.
