About Dr. Hoffman
Dr. Hoffman earned his B.A. at Franklin and Marshall College in 1974 and his M.D. at Northwestern University Medical School in 1978. He trained in general surgery at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center and completed fellowships in microsurgery research, plastic surgery and hand surgery at New York University Medical Center. He began his career at New York Hospital-Weill Cornell University Medical Center, where he was named division chief.
Dr. Hoffman became Chief of Plastic Surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital in 1987 and stepped down in 2004 to enter private practice on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. In 2017 he was recruited to return to academic medicine and moved his practice to Columbia's midtown location. He moved to Laser & Skin Surgery Center of New York in 2020.
His practice covers aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, breast and body as well as noninvasive facial rejuvenation. He has served as President of the New York Regional Society of Plastic Surgery and is now a Trustee.
