About Dr. Gerdeman

Dr. Gerdeman earned his Doctor of Medicine in 2003. In 2008 he finished an orthopedic surgery residency at Albany Medical College. He completed his Sports Medicine fellowship in 2009 at the University of Virginia Health System.

He is a fellowship-trained sports medicine specialist with an emphasis on arthroscopic techniques of the shoulder and knee. His expertise includes arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, shoulder stabilization and labral repair. He values the relationships he builds with patients and athletes.
