About Dr. Gleicher

Dr. Gleicher completed his medical studies at Tel Aviv University Medical School in Israel after starting at the Medical University of Vienna. He completed an internship in Tel Aviv, a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, and a fellowship in reproductive immunology there. He was Chairman of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago and a professor at Rush Medical College, where he established the first IVF program in Chicago and the Midwest.

He founded the Center for Human Reproduction in Chicago in 1981. Since 1999 he has been President, Medical and Laboratory Director and Chief Scientist at the Center for Human Reproduction, and President of the not-for-profit Foundation for Reproductive Medicine. His work centers on reproductive endocrinology and immunology, with a focus on infertility and autoimmune diseases.

Prima's blog notes his view that, once investigated thoroughly, unexplained infertility turns out not to be a real diagnosis. Prima's blog adds that he first checks the immune system in patients who have struggled to conceive for a long time.
