About Dr. Gorman
Dr. Gorman earned his medical degree from Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School and received his MD in 1982. He completed a residency in family medicine at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair and is board certified in family medicine. He co-founded Vanguard Medical Group in Verona, NJ.
He has been a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians since 1992. He joined the New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians in 1985, joined its Board of Directors in 2010 and was elected its president in 2015. In 2019, he received the NJAFP Chair Award for a lifetime of service to the Academy and to family medicine.
In 2019, he was chairman of the department of family medicine and a member of the medical executive committee at Hackensack Meridian Health Mountainside Medical Center. That year he was also an assistant clinical professor of family medicine at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School. He is the school physician for Cedar Grove Public Schools.
