About Sarah Mullins

Sarah Mullins is a nurse practitioner practicing DPC family medicine at Origins Direct Primary Care in Warner, New Hampshire.

She became a registered nurse in 2009 and began her career in primary care at Concord Hospital's Internal Medicine department. After eight years as a registered nurse, she furthered her training to become a family nurse practitioner, giving her greater ability to affect patient care as a primary care provider. She founded Origins DPC to move away from a hospital-based "sick model" toward prevention- and wellbeing-focused, evidence-based whole-body care.

"I think that really changes the dynamic of that provider-patient relationship, and that's what I really appreciate, is that you really get to know the whole person, get to work with them on many different areas," she said. "I like that we don't have to feel like we have to refer things out because we have the time to work on those things." She also said she has developed relationships with imaging facilities and independent labs to get the best deals for her patients, and that she compares those rates with what insurance offers, which she says tends to be much higher.
