He finished residency there in 1996 and served as chief resident. He joined the UNMC faculty in 1997 and served as associate professor of internal medicine and associate director of the internal medicine residency program. He was also medical director for the UNMC Physicians Turner Park Clinic and Baker Place Clinic.
He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
