About Dr. Constance

Dr. Elizabeth Constance is a fertility specialist at the Heartland Center for Reproductive Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. She completed her undergraduate degree at Northwestern University and earned her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 2011. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Kansas Medical Center in 2015 and a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Michigan in 2018, and is board certified in both fields.

She holds a faculty appointment as assistant professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She serves as a director of fertility preservation and LGBTQ+ health services. She is a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG). She advocates for increasing access to reproductive health care, including for the LGBTQIA2S community. She has been named a Castle Connolly Top Doctor in Reproductive Endocrinology/Infertility since 2025, and received teaching and clinical-care awards during her training.

She practices full-scope fertility and reproductive care, including assisted reproduction, minimally invasive fertility-sparing surgery, and gender-affirming hormone therapy. She has published research on an artificial ovary system for pediatric fertility preservation and has written book chapters on fertility preservation for women with breast cancer. She has co-authored at least 4 research papers indexed in PubMed on fertility and reproductive health.
