About Dr. Bergland

Dr. Bergland earned his medical degree in 2002 and trained in family medicine at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. He was chief resident in 2005. He was commissioned as a Captain in the U.S. Army and served seven years on active duty.

That time included a post in Stuttgart, Germany and 13 months in Iraq as a tank battalion surgeon during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He moved to Whitefish, Montana in 2009 and spent about 10 years in private practice there. In 2020 he opened Fountainhead Family Med.

His work is for patients directly, with no insurance company in between. He has volunteered as a sideline physician at Bulldog football games and at the local free clinic.

Membership and fees

Membership at Fountainhead Family Med is $30 a month for ages 0 to 17, as long as an adult family member is also enrolled.

It is $80 a month for ages 18 to 59.

It is $110 a month for ages 60 and over.

Membership includes free office visits and treatment, more time with the doctor and after hours access.
