Dr. Katy Liu, MD

About Dr. Liu

Dr. Liu earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Iowa State University and her medical degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. She completed her family medicine residency at the Via Christi Family Medicine Residency Program in Wichita, Kansas. She holds the FAAFP designation from the American Academy of Family Physicians, denoting Fellow status. Dr. Liu spent four years in St. Louis with SSM Health Medical Group before opening her own practice.

A native of Taiwan who grew up in Ames, Iowa, she has lived in the St. Louis area since late 2014 and speaks English and Mandarin Chinese fluently. She volunteered for a month each in 2012 and 2014 at medical missions in Niger.

At Olive Branch DPC, Dr. Liu manages chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, obesity, asthma, allergic rhinitis, insomnia, depression and anxiety. She performs in-office procedures such as laceration repair, joint aspiration and steroid injection, skin biopsy, cryotherapy for warts and pre-cancerous skin lesions, and skin tag removal. Her practice does not include obstetric or prenatal care. She offers free meet-and-greet sessions for prospective patients.
