About Dr. DeLaney

Dr. DeLaney graduated from Georgetown University magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. She attended Washington University School of Medicine, moving to St. Louis in 1992. She completed both her internal medicine internship and residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital.

She is board certified in internal medicine. She opened her own personal medical practice in 2006 to spend more time with her patients. Her office keeps the practice small so that patients get timely and comprehensive care.

She is on staff at Barnes-Jewish, Barnes-Jewish West and Missouri Baptist Hospitals. She jointly invented a Powered Air-Purifying Respirator with Dr. Katzman and Hunter Engineering. Over 500 of the devices have been donated to hospitals in the US, Central and South America and Africa. Her prototype became one of six powered air-purifying respirators approved by NIOSH for use during the Public Health Emergency.

Outside work, she enjoys running, cycling, reading and cooking.
