Dr. Margaret Hopeman, MD

About Dr. Hopeman

Dr. Hopeman is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She earned her medical degree at the University of Minnesota Medical School and a Bachelor of Science in biology at the University of Michigan. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Barnes-Jewish Hospital of Washington University and her fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Pennsylvania.

She is a Minnesota native who returned home for medical school. New patient visits last over an hour. She believes patients should understand why conceiving is hard for them, what each treatment can offer and how likely each one is to work.

She lays out the options, explains the evidence and helps each patient pick a plan that feels right. She works closely with a small team of nurses who get to know each patient personally. She cares for a diverse group of patients, including LGBTQ+ patients and single parents by choice.

In winter, she enjoys skiing and yoga.
