About Dr. Bartkiw

Dr. Bartkiw is an orthopedic surgeon with additional training in hand and microsurgery. He is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery in Orthopaedic Surgery and in Hand Surgery. He earned his medical degree at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.

He completed his internship and an orthopedic surgery residency at McLaren Oakland and completed a fellowship at the Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center. His practice focuses on conditions of the hand, wrist, arm and upper extremity. He specializes in carpal tunnel syndrome, hand trauma and other common hand surgeries.

In an interview, Dr. Bartkiw said, "Hand and upper extremity injuries are very unique. They connect you to the world." He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and is involved in the education of medical students and orthopedic surgery residents. He also gives lectures for professional groups at the local, state and national level.
