Dr. Grekin completed undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan in gerontology. He earned his medical degree at the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Iowa in 1989. He completed a rotating internship at Detroit Osteopathic Hospital in 1990 and a dermatology residency at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in 1993.

He is the founder of the Grekin Skin Institute and merged it with Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery in 2014. He has served as program director of the Corewell Health Trenton Hospital dermatology residency program. The practice offers cosmetic dermatology services, from skin rejuvenation to cosmetic surgery and hair restoration.
