About Dr. Gold

Dr. Gold studied biology at the University of Pennsylvania and attended UMass Medical School in Worcester. He completed a family medicine residency in Scottsdale, Arizona, in 2005. He spent nine years with the North Shore Physicians Group before starting his own practice.

He learned about the direct primary care movement in 2014 and opened Gold Direct Care in 2015. He founded the practice, which was one of the first direct primary care practices in Massachusetts. He previously held an Instructor appointment in Family Medicine and Community Health at UMass Chan Medical School.

Membership and fees

Membership at Gold Direct Care is $55 a month for ages 0 to 21.

Membership at Gold Direct Care is $85 a month for ages 22 to 30.

Membership at Gold Direct Care is $110 a month for ages 31 to 44.

Membership at Gold Direct Care is $140 a month for ages 45 to 64.

Membership at Gold Direct Care is $165 a month for ages 65 and over.

Members are not billed copays for visits, and visits are scheduled for at least 30 minutes.

Members of Gold Direct Care can email their physician and reach the physician after hours by cell phone or text for urgent calls.

Telehealth is included in the flat monthly fee, and a 15 percent family discount is offered with details on inquiry.

The practice offers home visits on request for an additional fee.
